Team Meeting

We had a group meeting on Friday and we made final decisions about the timings on 25th December. We agreed that we will be filming in Ilford in the Ilford Exchange and in Stratford next to Westfield, Stratford Centre and Broadway. I also asked the group if everyone is able to go as we do not want any complications just in case someone does not turn up.

Group Meeting

Recently, we had another group meeting where on of our group members put her ideas forward for the storyboard as she was in charge of that. On the sheet she not only wrote down what was happening but she also noted down what special effects, camera angles and other techniques.

Group Work

Earlier today me and my group had a meeting and we discussed who should be our actors. We have agreed that we will 4 actors, one actor playing The Weeknd, one for Eminem, one for the Abusive Boyfriend, one for the Victimised Girlfriend.

Props, Costumes and Makeup

For our music video, we will be using the props as suggested in the image above. Clothing will range form black and simple to slightly flashy and fashionable so the music video will conform and challenge the conventions of the music genre. 

Locations/Recces

Photography Studio

We were considering to use the studio as an alternative to get shots of our main actor playing the role of The Weeknd being alone in the darkness,creating a shadowy effect with smoke around him with high key lighting reflecting off his face.

Sky Gardens

Sky Gardens is a great location due to the aesthetic designs of its infrastructure and layout and the high views that would be very suitable for our song. However, we would have to be very careful in order to not damage anything and we have to bear in mind that the place is frequently occupied by members of the public.
